These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the nóko construction website and the services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

nóko construction ("we", "us", "our") is a kitchen installation company based in Bath, England, serving Bath and the surrounding areas. Our contact email is hello@nokoconstruction.co.uk.

2. Services

We provide kitchen installation, refurbishment, worktop fitting, and related design and trade services. The specific scope of work for any project will be agreed in writing before work commences.

3. Quotations

• All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
• Quotes are based on information provided at the time of survey. Any changes to the scope of work may result in revised pricing.
• Fixed-price quotes cover the agreed scope of works only. Additional works requested during the project will be quoted separately and require written approval.

4. Acceptance and Contract

A contract is formed when you formally accept our written quotation in writing (including by email). At this point, both parties are bound by these Terms and the specific terms set out in the quotation.

5. Payment Terms

• A deposit of [percentage to be agreed] is payable upon acceptance of the quote to secure your installation date.
• Stage payments may be required for larger projects, as detailed in your quotation.
• The final balance is due on completion of the works, upon sign-off.
• Payment is accepted by bank transfer. Details will be provided in your invoice.
• Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.

6. Your Responsibilities

To enable us to carry out the works, you agree to:

• Provide clear and safe access to the property at agreed times.
• Ensure the work area is cleared prior to our arrival, unless removal of existing units is included in the quote.
• Inform us of any known defects, hazardous materials (e.g. asbestos), or structural concerns.
• Notify us promptly of any changes to the agreed scope of works.

7. Workmanship Guarantee

We provide a 10-year workmanship guarantee on all installation work carried out by nóko construction. This guarantee covers defects in our workmanship but does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or third-party modifications.
• Manufacturer defects in materials or appliances (covered by manufacturer warranties).
• Normal wear and tear.
• Damage caused by flooding, fire, or other events beyond our control.

8. Materials and Goods

Where we supply materials or goods as part of the contract, these remain the property of nóko construction until payment is received in full. Risk passes to you on delivery to the property.

9. Cancellation

• You may cancel your order within 14 days of accepting the quotation under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided work has not yet commenced.
• Cancellation after the 14-day period or after work has commenced may incur charges to cover materials ordered and work already carried out.
• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule work due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. illness, severe weather) and will notify you at the earliest opportunity.

10. Liability

We carry full public liability insurance. Our liability to you in connection with any project shall not exceed the total value of the contract for that project, except where liability cannot be limited by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use of your kitchen or property during installation.

11. Subcontractors

We may engage qualified subcontractors (e.g. electricians, plumbers) to carry out specialist elements of the work. All subcontractors used by nóko construction are vetted, insured, and qualified in their respective trades.

12. Disputes

We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly and fairly. If you have a complaint, please contact us in writing at hello@nokoconstruction.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 business days and aim to resolve it within 28 days.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our website or services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
